Eagles linebacker Akeem Jordan, who was pulled from the starting lineup last season, has been arrested for assault and battery, according to the Daily News Record.
The arrest occurred in Harrisonburg, Jordan’s hometown in Virgina, according to the report. Details of why Jordan was arrested were unknown. The event took place Sunday morning in a parking lot, and Jordan has since been released.
The charge of assault and battery is a misdemeanor charge.
Jordan started only 3 games for the Eagles last season, after winning a starting job in training camp. The former James Madison University stand out had 26 tackles and no sacks.
His spot on the team was up in the air with the drafting of Casey Matthews, who is sure to take a roster spot. Being arrested, clearly, will only hurt his chances.
